Singer-songwriter Al Barnes has combined the classic rock and country western sound that he learned from his dad growing up in rural Minnesota and meshed it with the energy of the punk bands he idolized as a teenager. He has merged the genres to form a style that is uniquely melodic and captivatingly euphonic. "Out of Place" is full of sing-along melodies with heart felt lyrics for a wonderfully raw and refreshing debut acoustic album.
